It doesn’t look like Woods Inlet does it? You’re right… It’s not.

My mate Alan, who was skipper for this trip never gives away his fishing spots. If anyone ever asks where he went fishing, his standard answer is Woods Inlet.

This trip had me setting my alarm for 1am! Seriously, I don’t know if I would have been better off just staying up for the night.

The first few hours of fishing was in the dark. Since my cameras don’t work in the dark, you miss out on seeing some awesome reef species being caught at the start. A couple of beautiful big Red Emperors were probably the highlight.

Once the sun came up and we caught a few more reef fish, including some big Golden Snapper, it was time to go have some REAL FUN! We got amongst some Spanish Mackerel, Trevally and LOTS and LOTS of Tuna. Make sure you watch the whole video, because we end up with some double, triple and even a QUAD HOOKUP!
