Only a couple of hours drive from Darwin is the iconic Barramundi fishing river of the mighty Daly.

Browns Creek. No Fish Creek. Charlie’s Creek. Elizabeth Creek. I fished them all. I found run-off water. I found colour changes. All the signs for a good day fishing. But it was not to be.

You can’t expect to go to somewhere brand new and clean up on Barra. One thing is for certain is I will be back.

We stayed at Lee and Jenny’s Bush Camp. It is a great spot and they are lovely hosts. It’s a great spot on the Daly River.
