Land based fishing for Barramundi in an urban creek near my house. It’s not a secret spot. It’s called Rapid Creek near Darwin and people go fishing there all the time. And Barra get caught there occasionally. And mud crabs can be caught in the creek too.

This was my first time fishing at Rapid Creek.

So I was obviously surprised when a BIG Barramundi decided to jump on the hook. She is a big, breeding female so I decided to let her go.

This is a fish and a fishing trip that I will remember for a long time.

And just 3 or 4 minutes ride from home!
